LCWU Wraps Up Space Camp 2025 with SUPARCO, RESOLVE & SRC-UCP

Lahore, September 18, 2025 – Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) has successfully concluded the Three-day Space Camp 2025, organized in partnership with SUPARCO, RESOLVE, and the Space Research Center at UCP.

The camp, inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi, offered young women hands-on training in aerospace science. Students built and launched CANSAT prototype satellites after learning satellite subsystems through EYASSAT kits.

Dr. Quraishi, hailed as a visionary guide for women in STEM, emphasized LCWU’s role in preparing future leaders in science and technology.

Sessions were led by Dr. Waseem, Director RESOLVE (SUPARCO), with expert support from SUPARCO and SRC-UCP teams. The event was organized through LCWU’s ORIC, led by Dr. Faiza Saleem, with support from the IT Department.

The closing ceremony featured satellite launches, student project showcases, and an exchange of souvenirs between LCWU and SUPARCO, marking stronger academia–industry collaboration.

Space Camp 2025 is seen as a milestone in advancing women’s participation in Pakistan’s space science sector.
