The Department of Punjabi, Faculty of Islamic Studies and Oriental Learning, successfully hosted **Day 1 of the 8th International Conference on Punjabi Language, Literature, Art and Culture at Lahore College for Women University (LCWU).Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi, Vice Chancellor LCWU, extended a warm welcome to the distinguished participants from the USA, Canada, the UK, and Australia, acknowledging their valuable contributions to the global discourse on Punjabi heritage. She commended Prof. Dr. Mujahida But and her dedicated team for their tireless efforts in organizing this significant academic event that celebrates the richness, diversity, and enduring legacy of Punjabi culture and literature.

In her vote of thanks, Prof. Dr. Syeda Faliha Zehra Kazmi, Dean, Faculty of Islamic Studies and Oriental Learning, expressed gratitude to the Vice Chancellor for her continued support and appreciated the international participants for their unwavering commitment to promoting Punjabi literature and culture worldwide.The students of the Punjabi Department added vibrant color to the occasion through captivating performances and traditional Punjabi songs that paid tribute to the region’s poetic and cultural heritage.
 
The conference provided a dynamic platform for scholars, researchers, and artists to share ideas, research, and creative expressions, reinforcing the strength of Punjabi identity and traditions across borders.
