A meeting was held on 12 December 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the Vice Chancellor’s Office, Lahore College for Women University, between worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Uzma Qureshi and Dr. Paul Passy, Department of Geography, University of Paris, and PI (France) of the PERIDOT Phase IX research grant.

The discussion focused on mutual areas of collaboration between LCWU and the University of Paris, building on ongoing PERIDOT Phase IX activities under the Franco–Pakistani Hubert Curien Partnership, and a way forward was agreed upon to deepen academic, language and research linkages. Souvenirs were also exchanged as a gesture of goodwill and collaboration.

This meeting followed a series of successful academic engagements at LCWU, including the International Seminar on “Hydro-Geomorphic Dynamics of Sediments in the Indus Basin” (9 Dec 2025) and a two-day workshop (10–11 Dec 2025) where Dr. Passy shared expertise in geospatial programming, spatial data handling, and cloud-based remote sensing, in collaboration with Dr. Nausheen Mazhar (PI, Pakistan) and the LCWU team.
