One-day seminar titled “Iqbal: From Self-Realization to Institutional Excellence” was successfully organized by the Faculty of Islamic & Oriental Learning, Lahore College for Women University (LCWU ) under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Uzma Qureshi, Worthy Vice Chancellor, LCWU.
Prof. Dr. Faleeha Kazmi Dean Faculty of Islamic & Oriental Learning in her welcome address briefly explained the importance of Iqbal’s Poetry especially his ideology of self-realization . The keynote address was delivered by Prof. Dr. Shazia Bashir, Vice Chancellor, Government College Women University, Sialkot, a renowned academic and educationist who elaborated Iqbal’s thought as a guiding framework for personal growth, ethical leadership, and institutional strengthening Whereas Dr.Robina Shabnum From Punjabi University Patiala, India & Ms Narjes jabri Nasab from Azad Islamic University Tehran Iran also participated through their video messages and presented their valuable thoughts about the topic.The Seminar was concluded with Vote of thanks by Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Uzma Quraishi. She highlighted the significance of Iqbal’s Poetry for students as well as institutions . In the end Souvenir was presented to the honourable chief guest.
The event aimed to explore Allama Iqbal’s philosophy of “Khudi” (self-realization) and its relevance to institutional development, leadership, and excellence in contemporary academic and administrative contexts. Faculty members, researchers, and students from various departments of the university actively participated in the seminar.
