A one-day seminar on the historical importance of Basant, covering its past heritage, present relevance, and future prospects — was organized by the Institute of Design and Visual Arts, LCWU.
The session aimed to highlight the cultural and social significance of the spring festival and its place in contemporary society. Prof Dr. Kanwal Khalid delivered the keynote address, sharing insights into Basant’s historical roots and possibilities for its safe revival.
The event was organized under the patronage of Worthy Vice Chancellor, LCWU Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi. The seminar was attended by faculty members and students, making it an informative and engaging gathering.
