On 4th February, 2026; the Department of Gender and Development Studies, Lahore College for Women University (LCWU), successfully organized a one-day training workshop on “Academic Dependency and Decolonial Resistance in Pakistan.” The session was facilitated by Dr. Farah Naz, Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Vienna, who provided critical insights into decolonial thought within academia.

Faculty members from the Departments of Gender Studies at Punjab University, University of Home Economics, and LCWU actively participated in the workshop. The event fostered meaningful academic dialogue and cross-institutional engagement on decolonial resistance and knowledge production.
