Lahore College for Women University (LCWU), through its Geographical Society and International Resource Centre (IRC), organised an international webinar on World Desertification and Drought Day 2026 under the theme “Rangelands: Recognize. Respect. Restore.” Supported by DesertNet International, FAO-IYRP, and YESI, the event brought together experts from the UK, Ghana, and Pakistan, including Dr. Laura Turnbull-Lloyd, Dr. Amos Kabo-Bah, Dr. Hammad Gilani, and Dr. Muhammad Abdullah. Moderated by Dr. Nausheen Mazhar, the webinar highlighted sustainable rangeland management and ecosystem restoration, contributing to the objectives of UNCCD and SDG 15.3 (Land Degradation Neutrality) through international dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collaborative action.
