Collaborative “Workshop with CPDI on Health Impact of Partially Hydrogenated Oils and Policy Interventions”
Faculty Development Centre (FDC), Directorate of Faculty Development and Internationalisation (DFDI), Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) organized a workshop in collaboration with the Centre for Peace and Development Initiatives (CPDI) on the Health Impact of Partially Hydrogenated Oils (PHOs) and Policy Interventions to Limit Their Use in Pakistan on Wednesday, 8th July, 2026, from 10:00 am to 02:00 pm at Committee Room.
The initiative aims to raise awareness among academia about the harmful effects of industrially produced trans fats and explore evidence-based policy measures to improve public health. The workshop was organized to strengthen collaboration betweeny academia and civil society while promoting informed policy dialogue on reducing non-communicable diseases in Pakistan.
Faculty from Biotechnology, Education, Health and Physical Education Department and Mass Communication Department has attended this Workshop.
