Khadija-tul-Kubra Business Incubation Center (K-BIC), Lahore College for Women University (LCWU), successfully organized the Campus Round-1 Idea Pitching Competition of the Punjab Youth Innovation & Incubation Competition (PYII) 2026 on 21st July 2026 at the K-BIC Conference Room, LCWU, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The competition served as a platform for aspiring student entrepreneurs to present innovative ideas addressing real-world challenges across diverse sectors. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students representing multiple academic disciplines, reflecting LCWU's growing culture of innovation, entrepreneurship, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
A total of 38 innovative startup ideas were received for the LCWU Campus Round. Following the initial screening process, 25 ideas were shortlisted for Round-1 Idea Pitching.
Startup Ideas were evaluated by the LCWU PYII Nominated Committee 2026, comprising:
- Dr. Faiza Iftikhar – Director, Khadija-tul-Kubra Business Incubation Center (K-BIC); PEB Coordinator, Department of Electrical Engineering
- Dr. Uzma Ashiq – Incharge, Women Development Centre (WDC), LCWU
- Dr. Anjum Tahira – Focal Person, e-Rozgaar Centre, LCWU
- Dr. Adeel Nasir – Chairperson, Department of Management Sciences, LCWU
- Ms. Kashaf Khan – Business Development Officer, Khadija-tul-Kubra Business Incubation Center (K-BIC), LCWU
The participating teams represented a wide range of disciplines, including Islamic Studies, Software Engineering, Management Sciences, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, Graphic Design, Home Economics, Electrical Engineering, Institute of Pharmacy, Interior Design, Biotechnology, Special Education, Statistics, Mathematics, Textile Design, Intermediate, and Computer Science, demonstrating the diversity of entrepreneurial talent at LCWU.
The event concluded successfully with the selection of the most promising startup ideas to present their ideas in Round-II of LCWU Campus Level Competion as part of Punjab Youth Innovation & Incubation Competition (PYII) 2026.
