The Department of Interior Design, Lahore College for Women University (LCWU), successfully inaugurated its Thesis Degree Show 2026 on 3 August 2026, showcasing the work of 51 graduating students from the Class of 2022–2026.The exhibition was inaugurated by the Worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Uzma Qureshi, in the presence of Mr. M. Mian Kashif, CEO of ChenOne Interiors, Ms. Maria from ChenOne Interiors, Ms. Faiza Ahsan, Additional Secretary Women Development Department, Ms. Falahat, President of the Women Chamber of Commerce and Mr. Ajmal Aziz from Tj Electric as distinguished guests.The exhibition was led by Ms. Maha Tariq, In-Charge, Department of Interior Design, and reflected the department’s commitment to excellence in design education. The students presented research-driven and innovative interior design projects developed throughout the year under the supervision of Ms. Maryam Usman, Ms. Zainab Mirza, Ms. Anum Zaheer, and Ms. Summan Hussain, whose dedicated mentorship helped transform research into practical and creative design solutions.Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi appreciated the students for identifying real-life design challenges and developing thoughtful, functional solutions through interior design. The President of the Women Chamber of Commerce praised the diversity, creativity, and professional quality of the projects. Mr. Mian Kashif and Ms. Maria commended the students’ outstanding work and encouraged stronger industry-academia collaboration, with Mr. Mian Kashif also announcing employment opportunities for graduates from this batch. Director ORIC, Director BIC, registrar and Heads from different departments visited the show.The event was proudly collaborated with ChenOne Interiors and TJ Electric. Mr. Ajmal Aziz graciously announced a token of appreciation to be distributed amoungst the students.The ceremony concluded with the presentation of souvenirs to the chief guests and sponsors, followed by a cake-cutting ceremony celebrating the graduating Class of 2022–2026.
