LCWU Makes a Strong Impact at IMA 2026

Lahore College for Women University (LCWU), a partner university of IMA 2026Industry Meets Academia, made a strong impact on the opening day at Expo Centre Lahore, presenting over 20 stalls that highlighted its creativity, innovation, academic excellence, and entrepreneurial potential.

Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari attended as chief guest, while Vice Chancellor LCWU Prof. Dr. Uzma Qureshi joined as guest of honor along with senior academic and administrative leadership. Prof. Dr. Uzma Qureshi praised the outstanding creativity of LCWU students and their impressive display of innovative, artistic, and academic work, emphasizing the importance of such platforms in connecting young talent with industry opportunities. Rector Superior University Prof. Dr. Sumera also appreciated LCWU’s active participation and its role in strengthening academia–industry collaboration.

The LCWU delegation included Focal Person Dr. Ayesha Siddiqa, Prof. Dr. Saima Sharif, Dr. Moneeba Iftikhar, Dr. Ayesha Khalil, Dr. Hafsa Batool, Dr. Asia Jabeen, along with other faculty members and students.

The Second and Closing day of IMA 2026 – Industry Meets Academia concluded at Expo Centre Lahore, with Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) proudly participating as a Partner University and showcasing the exceptional, innovative and market-oriented work of its students.

A major highlight of the day was the signing ceremony of the Letter of Mutual Collaboration between the Institute of Design & Visual Arts (LCWU) and the School of Creative Arts & Design (Superior University), paving the way for future collaboration and stronger academia–industry linkages.

An insightful panel discussion from LCWU, moderated by Dr. Hafsah Batool, featured Prof. Dr. M. Ejaz Sindhu, Mr. Umer Saleem, Mr. Qazi Saddam Naseer, Ms. Shaheen Malik, Engr. Muhammad Azam, and Prof. Dr. Saima Sharif. The panelists shared valuable perspectives on industry–academia collaboration, entrepreneurship, employability, skills development and research impact.

The distinguished guests also visited LCWU students’ stalls, appreciated their outstanding work, and shared valuable suggestions for greater industry and market orientation. They also acknowledged the vision and efforts of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi, along with the faculty, students and the ORIC team. The LCWU team for IMA 26 included focal person Dr. Ayesha Siddiqa, Dr. Asia Jabeen, Dr. Moneeba Iftikhar and Dr. Ayesha Khalil.

IMA 2026 concluded on a strong note, celebrating innovation, collaboration and new opportunities for impactful industry–academia partnerships.
