A webinar was held on 5th August 2026 to commemorate Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir by Political Science Department, LCWU, bringing together participants to reflect on the significance of the day and the ongoing situation in Jammu and Kashmir. The keynote speaker, Dr. Asia Saif Alvi from the University of Sargodha, delivered an insightful address on the Kashmir regional issue, highlighting its historical, political, and humanitarian dimensions. She emphasized the importance of raising awareness about the plight of the people in Indian-administered Kashmir, drawing attention to concerns regarding human rights after the Modi administration and revocation of article 370 and 35(a)  further endangering lives of people of Kashmir. Dr. Alvi also encouraged meaningful dialogue, academic engagement, and collective efforts to promote peace, justice, and stability in the region. The webinar concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, where participants appreciated the speaker's thought-provoking analysis and valuable insights.
