MOU between LCWU and NCHD

LCWU & NCHD Sign MOU for “Each One Teach One” Initiative

Lahore College for Women University and the National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen collaborative efforts under the “Each One Teach One” initiative.

The MoU was initiated by the Department of Research and Policy Studies in collaboration with ORIC LCWU. The ceremony was chaired by Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi, Vice Chancellor, LCWU, and attended by Prof. Dr. Saima Sharif Director ORIC, Dr. Afifa Khanam, CoD R&P and Dr. Sadaf Jabeen Associate Professor Education senior university officials and faculty members. From NCHD, Mr. Ali Asghar, Director General NCHD, Mr. Sajid Ali Director NCHD Punjab and Deputy Director Literacy Mr. Rafaqat Waraich represented the organization.

The “Each One Teach One” initiative will engages students as literacy teachers, encouraging each participating student to teach at least one individual who is unable to read and write. NCHD describes the initiative as part of the national effort to address illiteracy through the active involvement of students from educational institutions.

Through this partnership, LCWU and NCHD will work together to facilitate literacy activities, student engagement, training, community outreach, monitoring, and assessment. The collaboration will provide LCWU students with an opportunity to contribute directly to literacy and social development while strengthening the university’s community engagement and outreach efforts.
