Winds of Change, 2021
Department of Public Administration and Department of Electrical Engineering in Lahore College for Women University collaboratively organized and hosted a public talk session “Winds of Change” in which the CEO of Youth Club, Raja Zia Ul Haq was invited as a Guest Speaker.
This talk session was well mapped with PLO-12 that is Lifelong Learning and SDG-16 that is Peace, Justice and Strong institution. Raja Zia Ul Haq deliberately elaborated the concept that for strong institutions it is necessary to change the individuals first. He also explained the seven F’s of life that are faith, family, finance, food, fun, future career and further learning till grave which are of great importance for any individual for the sake of giving best from his/her side as “Every effort counts so we should not belittle our contributions”. The session went very well and student learnt how to contribute as individual for society as well as for our country.

Inauguration of Computer Labs/Vice-Chancellor’s Visit, December, 2020
Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza, Worthy Vice Chancellor, LCWU inaugurated two IT labs at Faculty of Management and Public Administration on 23rd December, 2020. State of the art labs have been equipped with 80 Core-i7 computers with high speed internet. These labs have been funded by HEC under the project “Strengthening of Faculties”. Chairperson of Management Department, Dr. Muhammad Fiaz and In-charge department of Public Admin, Ms. Sobia Hassan received and welcomed honorable guest. Bouquet was presented to honorable guest.
Worthy Vice Chancellor inaugurated the labs and appreciated the efforts of the department in this regard. She also asserted the need to maintain the labs in the longer run.
Thereafter, Dr. Muhammad Fiaz, gave a brief presentation regarding history, programs and achievements of the department. Dr. Bushra appreciated the efforts of the department, particularly, for initiating new programs like Ph.D., MBA, and MBA Executive programs. The Chairperson gave the proposal of starting LLB (Hons) Program in the department which was highly appreciated by the Vice Chancellor. She, further, asserted to start this program as soon as possible. After the presentation, the Vice Chancellor did an interactive session with the faculty of both departments.
Signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Faculty of Management and Administrative Sciences (LCWU) and PSBA, 2018
An MOU was signed among Philippines School of Business Administration (Manila, Philippines), Department of Public Administration and Department of Management Sciences (Lahore College for Women University) on 6th December, 2018 in the Syndicate Hall of Lahore College for Women University. The purpose of this agreement is to develop academic cooperation and promote mutual understanding between PSBA and LCWU. Both Institutions agree to develop the following activities in academic areas of mutual interest, on the basis of equality and reciprocity especially in the field of Management Sciences and Public Administration and other forms of academics cooperation like:
a. Exchange of faculty, researchers and other administrative staff
b. Exchange of academic information and materials
c. Exchange of students
d. Collaborative research projects

Achieving Business Targets by Investing in Organizational Development, 2018
Faculty of Management & Administrative Sciences conducted a guest lecture on 10th January, 2018 for students of BPA & BBA 7th semester studying Organizational Change and Development on the topic “Achieving Business Targets by Investing in Organizational Development” by Mr. Shahzad Saleem, head of HR at KSB Pumps Company Limited. This interactive session helped the students connect the dots between Organizational Development and bottom line business results by combining theoretical concepts with the real world organizational practices.

Faculty of Management & Administrative Sciences organized a motivational lecture by Mr. Raja Zia ul Haq, CEO youth club on 20th October, 2017 for students of BPA, B.Com & BBA on the topic ‘Is Life Just a Game’? The highly interactive and energy boosting session inspired students to think and determine their purpose of life by staying focused to balance the demands of this world with the hereafter.
